Draping is the most fluent way to develop patterns. For most students, it is like s sculpting with fabric!
You'll learn how to drape basic and intermediate garments in this class as well as how to use flat pattern techniques to transfer and finish your designs.
Students will learn on full scale mannequins and then see how the half scale form can be used to further create and visualize designs in fashion fabrics.
The designer that has a combination of draping and flat pattern skills, will find it even more doable to create almost any design that they can imagine.
(20) 2 hour sessions
You will create and finish an original design in this class.
3 student max per class
Please be advised that we have a limited amount of dress forms. You may opt to bring your own half scale form to class.
